A few links to share about the Twins during the early parts of the offseason:

-Here's a live webcam of the club's new ballpark, Target Field
-A funny take from ESPN's Page 2 on the contract negotiations between GM Bill Smith and superstar and 2010 free agent C Joe Mauer
-A look back at a tough decision (the right one made by Minnesota) in 2001 when the Twins drafted Mauer over Mark Prior. That draft also saw Mark Teixeira and David Wright go in the first round with Ryan Howard going later as well as Edwin Jackson, Dan Uggla, Stephen Drew and Kevin Youkilis. Who would you pick #1 overall if you could do it today?

I don't know if I overlooked it, but where is the section of the page with useful links? If its not there, can Sam send me the list again?

Also, if its not on there, I'd like to add a contract blog that has received a ringing endorsement from Mariners beat writer Jim Street:

Cot's Baseball Contracts: http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/

Rangers have resigned catcher Kevin Richardson to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training. He made only four appearances in the show last year, going 3 for 6 at the dish.

The Rangers have narrowed down their search for Rudy Jaramillo's replacement to three well experienced hitting coaches (Thad Bosely, Clint Hurdle, Gerald Perry) as well as former fan favorite Rusty greer.

Stats on each:

Thad Bosely: A's hitting coach from 1999-2002. Played 14 season in the majors with a career .272 batting average, .330 on-base percentage, and a .357 slugging percentage. Helped coach Jason Giambi and Miguel Tejada to AL MVP awards in his time at Oakland.

Clint Hurdle: Colorado Rockies hitting coach from 1997-2002 before replacing Buddy Bell as manager midseason. During his time as a hitting coach, the Rockies scored over 900 runs in 4 of his 6 seasons, but keep in mind how hitter friendly Coors Field is.

Gerald Perry: Major League hitting for the past 10 seasons with the Mariners (2000-2002), Pirates (2003-2005), A's (2006), Cubs (2007). Currently the Rangers First base coach.

Rusty Greer: What Rusty lacks in experience, he makes up for with his excellent track record as a hitter, with a career .305 batting average, .38 on-base percentage and a .478 slugging percentage.

Face-to-fce interviews are scheduled for Monday.
